Screening and Treating Tuberculosis Infection – Round Rock, Texas

The goal of this training is to build capacity with community providers by highlighting guidelines for screening and treating persons for TB infection. Participants will be able to describe the current epidemiology of TB; list the groups of people who are more likely to be exposed to or infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb); list risk factors for progression to TB disease if infected with Mtb; describe the tools used in testing for TB infection; discuss US Preventive Services Task Force
