Bladder cancer is a disease that requires lifelong surveillance and is one of the most costly cancers to treat. In recent years, several advances in the treatment of bladder cancer at all stages have been achieved. In response to the BCG shortage, alternative intravesical therapies have proven to show efficacy, and several other treatments currently in clinical trials also show promise.
